Figma teams up with Anthropic to turn AI code into editable designs

How it works in practice
Developers working in Claude Code can type a command like “Send this to Figma” to push the rendered state of the interface into Figma. That state is translated into editable layers, preserving the visual structure and allowing detailed tweaks.
The process relies on Figma’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) to connect the coding environment with the collaborative canvas. This lets teams iterate visually on interfaces built with prompts, without staying locked inside the code editor.
